The Bald Archy Prize is an Australian satirical art competition that parodies the prestigious Archibald Prize by awarding humorous and caricatured portraits of well-known Australians, including politicians, celebrities, and cultural figures.
Judged by a sulphur crested cockatoo, the competition celebrates the irreverent and larrikin Australian spirit through dark satire, light comedy, and humour.
Hundreds of art lovers have already attended the exhibition, hosted by Federation Council.

Mayor, Cheryl Cook thanked more than 30 dedicated volunteers for assisting with the 2025 Bald Archy Prize ensuring the exhibition runs smoothly and visitors have a memorable experience.
“The success of an event of this scale is entirely dependent on the passion and commitment of our community,” Cr Cook said.
“Council is so fortunate to have over 30 incredible volunteers supporting the Bald Archy Prize.
“On behalf of council and the community, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks for their time and effort; this exhibition would not be possible without them.”
The exhibition's opening was made even more special with the attendance of three of the exhibiting finalists: Corowa artist Michael Mack, and John and Jo Skillington from Albury.
Cr Cook said it was a true honour for Corowa to host the Bald Archy Prize and to be part of the national tour.
“The exhibition brings a unique blend of humour, talent, and satire that captivates art lovers from across the region and beyond,” she said.
“We encourage everyone to come and see the incredible work of these artists and support our vibrant cultural community.”
