Last weekend saw Benalla’s Auskickers kicking the ice off the fields and vaguely feeling the warmth of the sun as it came out.

From all the activity, you would not have figured it was so cold.
The number of volunteers helping coaches was up and we are all grateful for the assistance.
The 5/6s had a session full of running, bouncing and kicking the ball which kept them all on their toes.
The trial of the new nine and 10-year-old program started and from the feedback received so far, most Auskickers and their parents were positive about the experience.
Plenty of great sportsmanship was again on show on the weekend, with players sharing the ball and allowing opponents an opportunity to get a touch and even a goal at times. Well done everyone!
Auskickers of the week:
●Benji McKean, for demonstrating Auskicker spirit, and is always trying to improve his skills while having a great time.
●Ruby Richardson, who is there early every week with her parents, however, for the past two weeks when it has been very cold, she has pushed the goal post pads trolley and set up every set of goal posts on her own. She then takes to the field in the 10-year-old games and loves every minute of the training and game.
