Benalla Art Gallery one of best in regional Victoria

Nestled between picturesque Lake Benalla and one of Victoria's best regional botanical gardens Benalla Art Gallery is everything its original planners had hoped for, and more.

With several impressive exhibition spaces and a multi-million dollar collection people in Benalla, and many who have visited, know all about what it has to offer.

Now thanks to a RACV write-up on the top nine regional galleries to visit in the state, Benalla Art Gallery, which placed at number five on that list, is set to gain more attention.

With galleries from Horsham to Ararat, Mornington Peninsula and even Wangaratta - just down the road - making the list, Benalla is in good company.

In the article it informs readers of the gallery's links to Wall to Wall and talks about works by some of its most famous contributors.

Those include John Russell, E Phillips Fox and works by Emily Kame Kngwarreye and Gordon Bennett.
