Benalla Bowls Club distributes community grants

Benalla Bowls Club has announced the recipients of its annual Sponsorship and Donation Program.

Its Board of Directors have worked tirelessly to select a group of talented individuals to support on their journey to success.

A BBC spokesperson said the passion and achievements were outstanding from the applications received.

“The club is honoured to be a part of their journey and excited to see what these community organisations and sporting groups have accomplished,” the spokesperson said.

The club has proudly dispersed more than $16,000 this year via the sponsorship program.

Successful applications include Goorambat Football and Netball Club; Caniambo Western Club; Benalla Hockey Club; Benalla Family Research Group; Benalla Squash Club; Benalla All Blacks Football/Netball Club; Benalla Basketball Association; Benalla Historical Society; Benalla Hospital Auxillary; Benalla Theatre Company; Benalla RSL; the Benalla Woodworkers’ Association and Men’s Shed; The Sister Edna Burns Trust; St Joseph’s Primary; Benalla Girl Guides; and Greer Allan (Walk for Autism).

Applications for next year’s program open in January.
