Benalla Bushwalkers enjoy a winter walk to Warby waterfalls

“The falls were flowing, but of course, they would be a lot more spectacular after heavy rain,” she said.

The next walk was to Briens Gorge to view the Jubilee Falls, a narrow ribbon of water flowing down a rocky cliff.

The third walk was the Pine Gully Loop, which has fern-fringed rocky pools of water leading to a waterfall flowing over a ledge.

“The sun even managed to appear in time for lunch,” Ms Sydes said.

“It was great to be able to show the club’s newest members these lovely attractions in the Warbys.”

Ms Sydes thanked club member Doug Kneen for his guidance and knowledge of the area.

“To summarise, the group really enjoyed the day out, with lots of conversation, stories and shared ideas for future walks,” she said.
