The Benalla Bushwalkers recently took a trek on Mt Bogong, spotting some beautiful flowers and views along the way.

Walk leader Brian Watson said there were five walkers who camped for two nights at Mitchell Hut, allowing for the hike to be taken at a leisurely pace.
“It was nice weather. About 10°C cooler than Benalla,” he said.
“We walked to Rock-in-Stone Saddle, over to Cleve Cole hut and the old refrigerator hut site.”

He said it was a beautiful hike to Victoria’s highest peak.
“We saw lots of wildflowers,” he said.
“It felt like it was still mid-spring up there.”
