Benalla carols well attended

The Benalla Lions Club has asked to thank all those who attended last month's Carols by Candlelight, saying the evening was one of the best yet.

Lions president Graham Milner said the new location, by the rotunda, was perfect and it seemed all had a great time.

“We would like to say a big thank you to a number of people and organisations who helped put this together,” Mr Milner said.

“Thank you to the Rose City Band and the Benalla P-12 College Band who were both magnificent.

“And thank you to all the performers and the members of the crowd who had a sing-a-long.

“Thank you to the SES and the cricket club, without them it could not have happened.

“A big thank you to Santa for coming along.

“He told us he was very impressed by all the local youngsters and hopes they all got what they wanted for Christmas.”
