Held at Moorngag Hall and Recreation Reserve, the much-loved event brings together competitors and spectators for a full day celebrating the strength, skill and heritage of heavy horse driving.
With registrations opening from 9am and competition commencing at 10am, the day promises a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for all ages.
Owners of Clydesdales and heavy horses are encouraged to get involved, with the event offering a friendly and supportive environment to showcase their horses, connect with like-minded enthusiasts and take part in a range of classes.
Whether experienced in competition or just starting out, participants of all levels are welcome.
The event will feature a range of classes catering for all driving abilities, including open, novice and junior sections, along with opportunities for beginners to get involved, with tuition available on the day.
Organisers say the event is a great chance for the community to experience traditional horse driving up close, whether you are a seasoned competitor or simply curious to learn more.
Competitors from across the region are expected to take part, showcasing well-trained Clydesdales and other heavy horse breeds as they navigate a series of driving challenges designed to test precision, control and partnership between horse and handler.
The day is open to the public, with food and beverages available to purchase on site. Visitors are encouraged to bring a chair and settle in to enjoy the action, with entry to the grounds by gold coin donation.
Please note, the event is cash only and dogs are not permitted.
Bookings are essential for competitors. CCHS members can participate free of charge, while non-members can take part under casual insurance arrangements, with fees of $20 for adults and $11 for those under-18.
