This beloved annual event, a mainstay in Benalla Rural City for more than half-a-century, shines a spotlight on the region's lifestyle, country living and community spirit.
The festival offers a diverse range of activities, from music and dance, to art, history, sport, family attractions and exhibitions.
The theme for the 2024 festival is 'Hidden Gems’, aiming to bring to light the unique and often unnoticed treasures of the region.
Individuals, groups and organisations are encouraged to be a part of this community collaboration, a celebration of all that makes Benalla truly special.
Cr Justin King, Chair of the Benalla Festival Advisory Committee, said the Benalla Festival provided a chance for the community to come together and celebrate.
“The Benalla Festival is a wonderful opportunity for us to come together and celebrate the incredible talent and creativity within our community,” he said.
“Our theme, 'Hidden Gems', encourages everyone to discover and appreciate the unique aspects of our rural city that make it so special.”
“We rely on the community to help us bring the festival to life, this is your chance to share your hidden gem with the wider community.
“We are now taking an expression of interest for individuals, groups and organisations to run an event or activity as part of the festival.”
For those interested in contributing, more information and the expression of interest form can be obtained by contacting the Benalla Festival Advisory Committee.
