Benalla Mayor Bernie Hearn said World Trail Pty Ltd has been appointed to deliver the $1.42 million project, which promises to deliver a world-class facility and associated infrastructure and amenities.
“This is a fantastic win for our community,” Cr Hearn said.
“We’ve listened to what people want, and now we’re delivering it. This pump track will be a place for everyone—kids, families, and riders of all abilities.
“It’s about creating something that brings people together and gets them outdoors.”
World Trail’s design incorporates zones for beginner, intermediate, and advanced riders, along with pathways and amenities that encourage both active use and passive recreation.
Nestled near Lake Benalla, the facility will blend seamlessly into the natural landscape, enhancing the area’s appeal as a recreational hub.
“This pump track, and the greater vision for the Fawckner Reserve, will be a game-changer for Benalla,” Cr Hearn said.
“It’s not just about the track itself—it’s about creating a space where people can connect, be active, and enjoy our beautiful surroundings.
“I can’t wait to see it all come to life.”
To keep the community involved, World Trail will host a pop-up session where residents can view the concept designs, ask questions, and provide feedback.
The session will be held from 3.30pm to 5.30pm on Tuesday, November 18 at the BMX Track in Fawckner Reserve.
