With one of the highest numbers of entries in recent years, from produce to fleeces, paintings, photography, quilts, baked goods and much more — organisers are hailing the two-day event a success.
Benalla Agricultural and Pastoral Society secretary Wendy Beer said the crowd was wonderful.
“Everyone seemed to be having fun,” she said.
“There seemed to be a lot of kids going around with really pretty face painting designs, and there are lots of people through the pavilions looking at all the entries.”
Ms Beer said one of the highlights for organisers was the Commodore car club.
“But also the weather being perfect, and the number of entries we had across the board was nice,” she said.
The show could not take place without the assistance of selfless volunteers from across the Rose City, including the Lions Club, which manned the gates, and Rotary, which assisted with operating the car parks.
“The entire show would not run without the volunteers because everyone’s a volunteer,” Ms Beer said.
“It's just amazing that we have such wonderful helpers.
“But we could always use more. It would certainly make for a better show if we had more help.”
