Benalla teenagers arrested over alleged stabbing and assault

Three Benalla teenagers were arrested on November 2 following an alleged stabbing and assault in Wangaratta.

Wangaratta Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged the three teens.

It is alleged that two male victims were walking along White St when they were approached by a group of offenders on Friday, September 29 about 2.20am.

A 17-year-old Newport boy was allegedly stabbed before being airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

An 18-year-old Wangaratta man was allegedly assaulted and taken to hospital.

Three teens were arrested in Benalla on November 2.

Two 16-year-old boys and a 17-year-old boy, all from Benalla, were charged with affray.

They have been bailed to appear at a children’s court at a later date.

The investigation continues in relation to the other people involved.
