Benalla’s new store bringing treats to local streets

“We’ve gotten a lot of good feedback on everything that we’ve got,” he said.

Johnny said people usually come into the store looking for one thing in particular.

“People go crazy for the American lollies,” he said.

“Like the Taki chips, Reese’s peanut butter cups and Wonka bars.

“We’ve got heaps of American soft drinks as well.

“It was a bit wild over Easter, people went crazy over all that kind of stuff.”

Although Johnny said it had been “up and down just like every business”, overall, “it’s been great, it’s a great town and a great place”.

Benalla Convenience and Tobacconist is open from 9am to 5.30pm, Monday to Sunday.
