Benalla’s U3A membership hits 400

She chose to join so she could engage with the Singing for Fun and Community Singing groups.

There are 44 other groups she and any other member could join.

A U3A spokesperson said this is the first time that Benalla U3A’s membership has topped 400.

“This time last year, membership numbers stood at 362,” the spokesperson said.

“The most popular groups this year are Garden Appreciation, with 88 people enrolled, Exercises for Fun, with 85 enrolled, and Wine Appreciation, which has 60 people enrolled.

“That group gets to visit vineyards every month.”
