You’ve got to be jolly, you’ve got to be friendly and you’ve got to know your toys, according to your potential future boss, Shepparton photographer Dale Wright.
But do you need to be chubby?
“Most people our age have got a bit of a tummy anyway,” Mr Wright said with a laugh.
Jokes aside, there are no age or weight pre-requisites.
You just need a working with children check and to not make promises you can’t keep.
“You can promise a child you will get them something nice for Christmas, but never promise what they’re asking for,” Mr Wright said.
Real-life unicorns and world peace might not be achievable between now and December 25, after all.
Mr Wright and his team at Dale Wright Portrait Maker have been photographing Goulburn Valley families for decades.
They will set up Santa’s studio at Kialla’s Riverside Plaza again this festive season, but they’re in need of a Santa to do the weekend shift: all day Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, in November and December.
You don’t need your own suit, you just need a “cracking personality”.
“We’re a crazy team, we have a lot of laughs,” Mr Wright said.
