Body found in river search

It is believed he set out fishing in a small boat around noon.

A multi-agency operation involving police from Murray River Police District, assisted by Marine Rescue Moama, NSW Maritime, SES and police divers, had been searching the river since Saturday, October 17.

NSW Police confirmed emergency services found a body today during a surface search of the river, next to the Tocumwal Regional Park.

While the body is yet to be formally identified, it is believed to be that of the man who was reported missing from the same area on Friday, October 16.

A report will be prepared for the information of the NSW Coroner.
