The donation of $17,247.23 was made to support the purchase of hospital equipment, with a particular focus on enhancing maternity services.
The funding will be used to develop home-visit care packs for Benalla Health midwives.
These packs contain equipment and resources that help midwives care for mothers and babies during visits to families at home.
Benalla Health said the packs would support the maternity team to provide safe, high-quality co-ordinated care and support for women and babies after they left hospital.
Maternity services manager Zoe Andrus said the donation would have a direct impact on the care provided to local families.
“These home-visit care packs will help our midwives provide safe, supported post-birth care close to home,” she said.
“They support our Midwifery Group Practice by ensuring women and babies receive co-ordinated care from known midwives during those important first weeks after birth.”
Chief executive Ro Enever also thanked the auxiliary for its continued support of Benalla Health and the important role its members played in helping its staff deliver the best possible care.
“Please extend my sincere thanks to all members of the hospital auxiliary for their incredible fundraising efforts and unwavering support of Benalla Health,” she said.
“Your generosity and ongoing commitment make a meaningful difference to our patients, staff and the community.
“We are extremely grateful for everything the auxiliary continues to do for our hospital.”
Since 1990, the auxiliary has donated $887,186.98 to support equipment, facilities and services across the local health service.
Ms Enever acknowledged the dedication of both current and past auxiliary members.
“The total contribution of $887,186.98 is truly remarkable,” she said.
“I am both grateful and amazed by the generosity of spirit demonstrated by Auxiliary members over so many years, not only through this extraordinary financial contribution, but also through the donation of their time, produce, energy and unwavering commitment to Benalla Health and our community.
“Their collective efforts have made an extraordinary and lasting difference to our health service and to the care we provide.”
