Playing against Rovers United Bruck in Wangaratta, the Bushies won the two-day semi-final by six wickets, chasing down 123 runs for victory.
The win was set up on day one as the Bushies bowled RUB out for 123 in 61 overs. Lakmal starred with the ball, taking 5/39 from 21 overs.
Henry Sadaya did a fantastic job with the new ball, removing one of the RUB openers cheaply and finishing with 2/18 from 12 overs including six maidens.
Captain Josh McCallum, Jasper DeFazio and Brent Wallace also took a wicket each while Luke Dunne kept well, holding three catches.
The Bushies only lost four wickets in the run chase as opener Simon Holmes carried his bat through the innings to finish 59 not out.
Lakmal topped off a great game with 31 runs and McCallum made 16.
The Bushies now play Yarrawonga-Mulwala this weekend in the Grand Final, which will be played at Yarrawonga.
The team should be boosted by the fact they defeated Yarrawonga-Mulwala a little over a week ago in the last home and away game of the season.
