The festival offers thousands of free and low-cost activities across the state, encouraging older Victorians to try something new, meet people and celebrate positive ageing.
Strathbogie Shire Mayor Scott Jeffery said the local program offered plenty of opportunities for residents to come together.
“These events are a great chance to catch up with friends, meet new people and enjoy quality entertainment,” Cr Jeffery said.
“We encourage residents to explore the program and book early.”
At the Euroa Community Cinema, a free screening of Hunt for the Wilderpeople will take place on Wednesday, October 14, from 2pm, followed by afternoon tea.

In Shepparton, Amber Joy Poulton and The Holy Two will perform the hits of Patsy Cline, Dolly Parton, Tammy Wynette and Loretta Lynn at Riverlinks Eastbank on Tuesday, October 13 between 11am and noon.
Tickets are $5, with free buses available from Violet Town, Euroa, Avenel and Nagambie.

Two weeks after the official festival’s end, the Goulburn Valley Concert Orchestra will celebrate its 30th anniversary with a free performance and light lunch at Avenel Memorial Hall on Saturday, November 14, between 11am and 2pm.

Victorian Seniors’ Card holders can also travel free on metropolitan public transport, V/Line trains and coaches, and selected regional bus services from Saturday, October 3 to Sunday, October 11.
