Local motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions from this week on the Riverina Highway between Albury and Berrigan for maintenance work.
Road resurfacing work will be carried out at various locations along the highway to provide a stronger and safer road for motorists.
Work will be carried out between 7am and 5pm on weekdays, from Monday, April 29 to Monday, May 13, weather permitting. Work on Saturdays will be between 7am and 5pm if required.
Work will be stage over the two weeks at the following locations:
- East of Savernake near Bull Plain Road intersection.
- North and south of Lowesdale.
- East of Albury near Lake Hume Village and Bethanga Bridge.
Single lane closures, traffic control and a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h during work hours will be in place for the safety of workers and motorists.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, allow an extra five minutes travel time and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
