Charges laid over Kyabram burglaries

A man has been charged with stealing from Kyabram buildings.

Kyabram police Leading Senior Constable Russell Locke said the 24-year old Kyabram man was arrested and charged with stealing from the Kyabram library - located next to the Kyabram Community Learning Centre - the Kyabram Club and Kyabram P-12 College.

The man was arrested by police around 9am at the Kyabram library on Saturday, February 1 after a security guard apprehended him.

Police allege he stole a Nintendo Switch, an iPhone and a keyboard from the library, miscellaneous items from Kyabram P-12 College and food and grocery items from Kyabram Club.

Leading Sen Constable Locke allege the man was also found to have “a small amount of amphetamines in his possession”.

He was charged with burglary and possessing a drug of dependence.

The man was bailed to face Echuca Magistrates’ Court in April.
