Captain Heather Stamp and Major Michelle Myles have some of the most wonderful hair in Seymour.
Now they are hoping the curls will do more than just grab attention and set heads turning.
Against the backdrop of the Salvation Army’s Red Shield Appeal, they have committed to shaving off their magnificent coiffure if they reach their target of $2000 in donations.
Seymour residents can expect to see Captain Stamp and Major Myles out and about with their red buckets along with other volunteers who are raising funds for the Appeal.
Funds from this year’s Red Shield Appeal will go towards emergency financial assistance, refuge for women and children, homeless shelters, youth drop-in centres and other important initiatives.
Seymour’s Salvos will also be hosting a trivia night on Friday, June 3, at 6pm. The event will be held at the Salvation Amy Corps in Victoria St.
The night has been planned as a fun social evening with trivia everyone can answer, door prizes, a blind auction and more. If you would like to book a table ($50 a table or $10 per person), phone 5735 8400 and follow directions.
