Running from November 1–9, this annual celebration will once again bring the community together to honour the spirit, creativity, and culture that makes Benalla Rural City so special.
The 2025 theme, ‘Live Local, Love Local,’ highlights the importance of community pride, strong local connections, and the shared joy of celebrating everything that makes Benalla unique.
Benalla Festival Advisory Committee chair Cr Justin King expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming event.
“This theme captures the very heart of who we are as a community. It’s about appreciating the incredible talent, creativity, and community spirit that exists right here within our rural city,” he said.
“The Benalla Festival gives us all an opportunity to come together and celebrate what makes our region so special.”
The Benalla Festival 2025 will unfold across two vibrant weekends.
The first weekend will spotlight rural townships, celebrating their character and charm, while the second weekend will bring Benalla to life with a dynamic program of events and activities.
“The festival thrives on community involvement, and this year is no exception,” Cr King said.
“Individuals, businesses, and organisations are invited to host their own event as part of the festival’s program.
“Whether it’s live music, art exhibitions, creative workshops, or family-friendly entertainment, everyone has the chance to contribute to this much-loved event and showcase their talents to the community.”
Adding to the excitement, Benalla Rural City Council is calling on passionate community members to join the Benalla Festival Advisory Committee.
This is an opportunity for individuals to help shape the event and leave a meaningful mark on this cherished local tradition.
