Estia residents enjoy ‘Greek Day’ to celebrate start of Tokyo Olympics

Olympics celebrations were full steam ahead at Estia this week with a themed Greek day to recognise the heritage of the Olympics.

An Estia spokesperson said traditional Greek food was served for lunch and Olympic trivia questions got everyone’s brains thinking.

“The residents had their own opening ceremony, which included the passing of the torch,” the spokesperson said.

“Over the duration of the Olympics residents will be trying their hand at several different disciplines from the games, learning new skills and having fun along the way.

“Will there be a potential gold medalist within the residents? Who knows, but they will certainly have fun trying to discover one”
