With plans to rebrand to PETstock Country in the new year, PETstock will continue to support the local community by catering to rural property essentials including fencing, crop management, weed and pest control, general rural merchandise, water equipment, livestock health and feed.
In addition to farming supplies, PETstock will service traditional household pets’ needs with key services including DIY dog wash, grooming, puppy school, personalised pet ID tags and fish tank water testing.
The announcement highlights PETstock’s commitment to servicing pet owners across regional Australia and expanding opportunity for its dedicated supply partners.
Benalla Produce owners Mike and Lynne Morrison take comfort in knowing they are handing over the reins of their home-grown business to another family-owned business that has deep roots in regional Victoria.
“The Benalla community has been extremely supportive throughout the years, and after five years we couldn’t be leaving it in better hands than with another, like-minded business such as PETstock,” Mr Morrison said.
"We know they will continue to show a dedication to the local community and cater to its needs for essential pet care and supplies.
“We thank our dedicated customers and look forward to seeing PETstock flourish in Benalla as they add to the existing product range and services.”
PETstock state manager Samuel Flanagan said he was thrilled to be able to welcome Benalla Produce to the PETstock family.
“It’s fantastic to be able to introduce PETstock to the local community... who are not only delivering the services and products they’re so well known for, but by catering to and understanding of Benalla’s regional needs,” Mr Flanagan said.
“Once transitioning from Benalla Produce to PETstock Country, we will be able to introduce new services and thousands of products from our general pet range, providing a comprehensive stock food range and offering specialist hobby farm equipment.
“In addition to expanding existing services, the store will support local organisations, such as local rescue groups, by providing them with free in-store space, temporary or permanent, for our PETadopt program where adoptable pets can find forever families in a convenient and friendly environment.
“We look forward to welcoming Benalla residents to the store and introducing them to the new services available within the coming months.”
Benalla Produce is at 2/6 Yellow Brick Rd, and is open weekdays from 8.30am to 5.30pm, Saturdays 9am to 3pm and Sundays 10am to 3pm.
