In celebration of Daffodil Day, Cancer Council’s annual breast cancer awareness initiative, the Community Breast Cancer Awareness Session is designed especially for people aged 60 and over to encourage proactive health behaviours.

The free session is open to individuals to better understand their own breast health or to support someone they care about.
Participants will learn about common signs, the vital role of early detection and the importance of routine screening.
The Community Breast Cancer Awareness session will take place on August 19 at Benalla Library.

Expert facilitators will also highlight vital local support services, including Cancer Council networks and a local peer support group.
Benalla Rural City Council will also host a Community Breast Cancer Awareness session from 2pm to 4pm, on Tuesday, August 19 at the Sir Edward ‘Weary’ Dunlop Learning Centre (Benalla Library).
