These five workshops are designed to support anyone seeking guidance and empowerment.
Whether you need positive parenting strategies, legal advice, financial planning or simply some time for yourself through meditation or art therapy, these sessions offer a safe and supportive environment for healing and recovery.
Centre Against Violence intake and therapeutic services manager Lucy Lee said she was looking forward to the program.
“We are delighted to extend a warm invitation to the Benalla community,” Ms Lee said.
“These workshops are open to everyone, regardless of background or experience.
“While they provide valuable resources for those impacted by family and sexual violence, the sessions are designed to benefit anyone looking to enhance their wellbeing and resilience.
“They aim to build a supportive community where everyone can find comfort, encouragement and essential tools to help rebuild their lives.”
Tomorrow Today’s contribution to this program has made it possible to offer free workshops covering a range of topics crucial to empowerment, including:
- Financial empowerment: Learn budgeting and financial planning for independence.
- Parenting support: Gain effective communication and positive parenting strategies.
- Art therapy: Practise self-care, compassion and creativity through creating self-care boxes.
- Legal guidance: Understand your rights and legal options after experiencing trauma.
- Mindfulness and meditation: Calm the breath, calm the body and calm the mind.
The Benalla workshops will start on October 7. Participants can attend one or all sessions, depending on their preferences and needs.
