Last year it featured alongside other silos on the north-east trail at Devenish and St James.
The 2022 calendar will again showcase the north east silo art trail with Tungamah also getting a page.
To highlight the passion the small community has for its artwork it was Anne-Marie Greenway, who features in out page-one article about difficulties in accessing cross-border cancer treatment, who wanted to speak to The Ensign about the silo art calendar - despite what she is currently going through.

“Everyone who is involved with the north-east art trail is as delighted as the Goorambat community to be in the calendar again,” Ms Greenway said.
“What people might remember from last year is that communities that are featured share 50 per cent of the profit from sales of the calendar.
“Last year we made approximately $4000, that helped us get Jimmy (DVate) back to paint Rusty the Nankeen Kestrel on the shed in May.”
Ms Greenway said community members were always pleased by the number of visitors coming through Goorambat to see the art.

“It has slowed during lockdowns,” she said
“But we know that if we heard restrictions were being lifted tomorrow, we would expect about 100 caravans to come through.

“And we find that everyone is very good at socially distancing.
“For example if they stop at the Clydesdale viewing area they can see the Barking Owl viewing area.
“And most will wait until people leave that area before walking or driving down.”

Ms Greenway said visitors to the town since May had also been able to view the artwork by Adnate in the local church - even when it was closed.
“They have had a screen door installed, as there had been some disappointment from visitors who went to take a look only to find they could not,” she said.
There is a lot going on in Goorambat in the coming months with funds raised from collection boxes and grants being used to install a new playground, and there are plans afoot to decorate the toilet block and get its fourth silo painted at some point.
“The Mechanics Hall Committee have also recently had solar installed,” Ms Greenway said.

“And I know the Railway Hotel want to get some more art painted.
“Sadly COVID has slowed all that down, but we hope to see more things happening as soon as they can.”
