Members of the Goorambat-Stewarton Fire Brigade joined friends and family for its annual awards dinner at the Railway Hotel.
Captain Paul Dingemans welcomed everyone and thanked them for their attendance.

He acknowledged, and warmly welcomed, his distinguished guests: CFA board member Ross Coyle, chief assistant fire officer Brett Myers, brigade administration support officer Daryl Patterson, Benalla group officer Phil Reese and Benalla deputy group officer Daryl Cole.
Mr Dingemans took time to recognise event sponsor Engie.
“Thanks to (Engie’s) Narelle O’Shea and Chris Henderson for joining the evening,” he said.
“(Their) support helped make the evening possible, and their partnership is appreciated.
“Appreciation also goes to Paul McCullough from Bouygues, who has worked with the brigade on a day-to-day basis through the emergency management processes.”
Mr Myers also addressed attendees.
He spoke highly of the brigade and proceeded to detail each recipient’s history before presenting them with their CFA service awards.

Following these presentations, it was time to recognise members who would receive a life membership.
These are awarded to members who have served for over 20 years.
They must be an active member and have met the criteria with regards to training and attending meetings.
An active member is not only a firefighter but also a secretary, training officer, communication officer or anyone who contributes to the ongoing visibility of the brigade.
They must also have contributed to the wellbeing and ongoing viability of the brigade.

Last, but by no means least, the CFA National Medal, which recognises long and diligent service in protecting our communities, was awarded to Greg Gall.
And CFA life memberships were bestowed on Greg Gall and Mick Johnson for their long and committed service to the CFA.
