When he's not doing charitable work with the Lions Club you can find him out and about in his role with the SES.
Clearing fallen trees and helping rescue people from cars.
But what you might not know about Graham is he is also a volunteer with Road Trauma Awareness.
Benalla’s new council sees some new faces, some old
That is a role he put his hand up for, which came as a result of his involvement with SES.
It is also a role for which he has recently been championed in the latest Road Trauma Support Services Annual Report - which dedicated a full page to him.
“As a part of the SES Benalla unit I was asked if would I be prepared to take part in road trauma awareness seminars - that was some years ago,” Graham said.
“I agreed to do that because I see the need to educate people who are prone to taking liberties with their road safety.”
Reflecting on remembrance day
It is a role he has been volunteering in for more than 12 years and in that time he has spoken at 25 seminars.
“Normally in the north-east area we have seminars in Wodonga Wangaratta, Shepparton and Seymour.
“They're held in one place each month and we have up to 10 clients that attend.
“They are referred to us by mainly magistrates as part of the penalty for not complying with the law.”

Graham said the seminars were rewarding, as more often than not he saw a behavioural change in the clients.
“The seminars are interactive,” he said
“Each client takes part and we do some role playing and put signs on the wall and ask them if they agree or disagree with them.
“Then we have a volunteer speaker who has been affected by road trauma followed by the emergency services volunteer speaker.
“And that will be myself or someone from Vic Police, CFA, or the ambos, for example.

“The most rewarding part for me is after the seminar.
“At the start of the seminar most of the clients feel they're invincible.
“At the ends they come up and thank us for what we’ve done to enlighten them of the situation.”
