A spokesperson from Dr Haines’ staff expressed their gratitude to the Indi and broader Australian communities in the wake of the incident on Monday, October 19.
“Thank you to everyone who continues to show such care and support for Helen, her family and our team,” the spokesperson said.
To support constituents with Commonwealth matters, Dr Haines’ electorate offices in Wangaratta, at 117 Murphy St, and Wodonga, at 79 High St, will open to the public three days a week from 9am to 3pm for the remainder of 2026.
Over the next two weeks, the offices will be open on Thursday, October 29; Friday, October 30; Wednesday, November 4; Thursday, November 5; and Friday, November 6.
Both Wangaratta and Wodonga offices will be closed on Monday, November 2 and Tuesday, November 3.
From Monday, November 9, both offices will be open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, with the team available via email at helen.haines.mp@aph.gov.au at any time.
For support with a Commonwealth matter, such as MyAged Care, NDIS and Services Australia, the best first step is to email the team with some of the details of the inquiry, as well as contact information.
The spokesperson said they understood that there continued to be “great concern for Helen”.
“We won’t be providing updates on her health or circumstances, and we ask that the privacy of Helen and her family continues to be respected,” the spokesperson said.
“Thank you for your patience, kindness and understanding as we navigate the weeks ahead.”
