Repair works on the Hume Freeway southbound near Winton will pause from 4pm this afternoon, (Thursday, April 9) through the Easter break.
Both lanes will re-open to traffic, with an 80km/h speed limit in place to keep drivers safe.
Works will resume on Tuesday, April 14, taking place between 7am and 6pm, weather permitting.
One lane will remain open, with a 40km/h speed limit.

Drivers are asked to drive to the conditions and observe the reduced speed limit for their own safety and the safety of workers.
The Department of Transport thank drivers for their patience during these works.
