What can I expect?
- Works from 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday and 7am to 1pm on Saturdays.
- Round-the-clock works until 6pm Thursday, December 18.
- Overnight Nunn St level crossing closures from 9pm to 5am until Thursday, December 18. A detour will be in place via Ackerly Ave and Mitchell St.
- Traffic management, shuttle flow, temporary road closures and reduced speed limits.
- Nearby residents may experience some noise and vibration.
Machinery used:
Trucks, excavators, front-end loader, grader, cranes, tippers, earthmoving plant, rollers, elevated work platforms, wood chipper and support vehicles.
Workers using hand tools and traffic management equipment.
How Inland Rail’s managing impacts:
- Pedestrian and vehicle access to Benalla Station precinct maintained from Mackellar St.
- Temporary bus pick-up and drop-off zones set up on Mackellar St.
- Wayfinding signage along pedestrian detours.
- Environmental controls will be in place.
Cancellation or extension of works:
Works can sometimes take longer than anticipated or be cancelled at short notice and rescheduled.
Should this occur, impacted residents will be notified.
