What can residents expect?
- Works from 7am - 6pm Monday, September 1 - Friday, September 10.
- Round-the-clock works, from 5am on Thursday, September 11 to 6pm on Monday, September 22 - These works are expected to generate low to medium levels of noise with some high levels of noise at times. Residents close to night-works will be contacted directly.
- Traffic management will be in place, with reduced speed limits and shuttle flow when required.
- Nearby residents may experience some noise and vibration and can expect some additional construction workers and vehicles in the area.
Machinery used
Non-destructive digging truck, piling rig, excavators, front-end loader, grader, cranes, tippers, earthmoving plant, compaction rollers, elevated work platforms, trucks, light towers and support vehicles.
How Inland Rail is managing impacts to the community
- Pedestrian and vehicle access to station maintained from Mackellar St
- Traffic management and reduced road speeds
- Wayfinding signage along pedestrian detour
- Light towers will be directed away from residential properties
- Environmental controls will be in place.
Cancellation or extension of works
Works can sometimes take longer than anticipated or be cancelled at short notice and rescheduled.
Should this occur, impacted residents will be notified.
