Keenan is among 29 players in the Pathways squad, including four Victorians, which is the third tier of the national team.
The Jackaroos squad is 20 strong and there is a 13-strong Emerging Jackaroos squad, of which Keenan’s Moama teammate Cassandra Millerick is a member.
Alongside Keenan in the Pathway Jackaroos are 2022 Under-18 Male Bowler of the Year Jack McShane, 2022 Australian Open and Australian Under-18 Championship boy’s singles winner Joseph Clarke and under-18 girls’ singles winner Reese Finn-Young.
The Jackaroos open squad will be in action on the Gold Coast against Ireland for a test series on November 15-16.
Keenan has been playing as a skip with Moama’s Bendigo Campaspe Goldfields Premier League team.
He opened the season with a seven-shot win against his former club Kangaroo Flat, then had a one-shot win against Bendigo before suffering his first defeat of the season against the powerful South Bendigo combination.
Last season he played as a skip with Kangaroo Flat and had more wins than losses, losing by only one shot in the team’s elimination final.
He also played with the association’s regional team last season, as third to Moama’s Kevin Anderson.
Keenan’s father David was also a member of that team, finishing the season third-ranked skipper in the competition, with 12 wins and only four defeats.
The pair made up two members of a quarter final fours team that competed in the state fours event.
