Volunteers across Victoria, including in Benalla, will be stepping out to support the families of veterans in their communities.
Secretary of the Benalla, Euroa and Violet Town Branch of Melbourne Legacy, Leon Dyer posted to social media to let the community know how they can support this important fundraiser.
“We have our annual fundraiser coming up in the first week of September 2026,” he said.
“We will have a number of sites selling Legacy badges and merchandise in the Benalla area during this time.
“Legacy supports the widows of military personnel who have lost theirs lives. We also support veteran families and their dependants.”
Legacy Week is an important time of the year, a time when the families of veterans take centre stage.
Melbourne Legacy exists to ensure no family members of a veteran are disadvantaged by their loved ones’ service to our country.
This Legacy Week will shine spotlight on reconnecting with youth, and the vital support Legacy provides to the younger generations of veterans' families.
