“I don’t know what we expected, but we were a bit concerned people may have forgotten us,” Mr Lowing said.

“I don’t know the exact number at this stage, but it was very well attended.

“What matters more is the traders were very happy, everyone said they made more than the stall cost them.”

Mr Lowing said the fair had 20 traders who came from across the country, and the Lions provided catering.

“We did pies and sausage rolls, morning and afternoon tea, tea cakes and sandwiches.

“And we were very happy with the fact Elm Tree House Antiques donated the lucky door prize.”
