That’s what Benalla Theatre Company is saying as members rehearse for its 2022 production of Mamma Mia!
Director Molly Craig said the cast was filled with newcomers and returning performers, who were all having a blast singing, dancing and acting through this fun show.
“Mamma Mia! tells the story of Sophie, played by Jacqui Creamer, who dreams of having her father walk her down the aisle on her wedding day,” Ms Craig said.
“Unfortunately, she doesn’t know who her dad is.
“Her mother is Donna, played by Dianne Feldtmann, and after reading her diary Sophie finds out that there are three men who could possibly be her dad, so she invites them all.
“The three possible dads — Sam, Bill and Harry, played by Stephen Winkler, Jamie Boatwood and Jim Tullberg — are joined at the wedding by Donna’s best friends Tanya, played by Mary-Anny Jolly, and Rosie, played by Debbie Patterson.”
This much-loved musical has more than 20 Abba songs artfully woven throughout the show.
It include favourites such as SOS, Voulez Vous, Knowing Me Knowing You, Dancing Queen and Waterloo.
Mamma Mia! will run for seven performances in two weekends from May 20 to 28.
Tickets will be available from March 14 at www.bpacc.com.au or phone 5762 5515 or at the BPACC box office.
