Mr Rouel will be joined by One Nation Victoria state leader Warren Pickering and Northern Victoria candidate Athol Thomas for the launch, which will bring together supporters, volunteers and community members from across the electorate.
Mr Rouel said having the party leadership in Ovens Valley backed up a commitment he made when beginning the campaign.
“When I started this campaign, I promised to make Ovens Valley matter,” he said.
“Having Warren and Athol here in Ovens Valley shows that we are serious about that. If you’re serious about representing Northern Victoria, you have to show up in Northern Victoria.”
Mr Rouel said Sunday’s event would formally launch a campaign focused on listening to local communities and putting Ovens Valley’s priorities firmly on the agenda ahead of November’s state election.
“This campaign is about Ovens Valley ― our towns, our families, our businesses and the issues people are raising with me every day,” he said.
“I want people to know that their vote matters, their community matters and that Ovens Valley should never be taken for granted again.
“Sunday is about officially launching that campaign and bringing people together around a simple message: it’s time to make Ovens Valley matter.”
The campaign launch will be held at the Bundalong Tavern from 5pm on Sunday, October 11.
Tickets are $15 each.
