Police make arrest after locating alleged stolen vehicle

Moama Police have arrested and charged a 30-year-old person after discovering an allegedly stolen vehicle at an address when following up on an outstanding warrant.

Police made the arrest in George St, Moama, on the morning of January 9.

Inspector Paul Huggett, of the Murray River Police District, said while police were at a house to follow up on an outstanding warrant they discovered an allegedly stolen black Hyundai Tucson sedan valued at $15,000.

The person is set to appear at Moama Local Court after being charged with the outstanding warrant offence and theft of a motor vehicle.
