Ray White Benalla was awarded the 2024 Community Service Award at the Ray White Victoria and Tasmania Annual Awards at the Melbourne Convention Centre on Thursday, August 22.
The Community Service Award honours the Ray White business that goes above and beyond in its local community.
Ray White Benalla has been recognised for “creating a genuine connection with their community”.
Ray White Benalla’s Rick Symes and Peter Symes said they would like to congratulate their amazing staff, saying that without their buy-in and drive to make a real impact in our local community this wouldn’t have been possible.
Rick and Pete said they loved Benalla and were passionate local people that tried to help the community as much as possible, and winning this award was a huge honour.

“We certainly don’t do what we do for the award — we do it because we believe strongly in leaving Benalla in better condition than when we started nearly 10 years ago in this business,” they said.
“Being able to contribute as much as we do is in our DNA.
“Being able to assist the Benalla Art Gallery to increase its ability to implement state-of-the-art technology enabling them to deliver new and exciting exhibitions; rewarding students at St Joseph’s and Benalla P-12 with citizenship awards, highlighting those kids that have a go and demonstrate the schools’ core values; local football/netball clubs; the Bushrangers Cricket Club; junior football and netball; the Benalla Show; Benalla Pony Club; and working with Tomorrow Today foundation to ensure no-one goes without food or a present under the tree at Christmas — these are just a few that we have loved working with and look forward to continuing to work alongside, well into the future.
“We would also like to thank our amazing landlords and vendors. Without you all trusting us with your properties this again wouldn’t have been possible and we wouldn’t have the ability to give back the way we have been, so this award is also for all of you.
