The visit was a momentous occasion for both the nursing home residents and the dedicated volunteers of Revamp Op Shop, who were warmly welcomed by the nursing home staff. A special presentation ceremony was held, followed by a delightful morning tea hosted by the nursing home to express their gratitude.
The money will be used to create a state-of-the-art sensory room within the nursing home, featuring special lighting, a comfortable massage chair, and other sensory elements aimed at providing a calming and soothing environment for the residents.
Facility Manager Katrina Gunnett expressed her heartfelt appreciation to the volunteers.
“Massive thanks to Florence, Kath, and all the volunteers at Revamp for their ongoing support,” she said.
“We are so appreciative of the donation, which helps us to continue to improve our facilities.”
