Berrigan’s opening bowling pair Matt Whelan (0/22) and Jacob Bartlett (3/21) sustained bowling pressure, which enabled Bartlett to strike early.
He removed both openers Tyler Green, trapped LBW for 11, and Oliver Mynard, caught for six, to have the Tigers 2/25.
Through patient batting, Katamatite got the upper hand on the Saints through Ben Lucas (25), Brandon Nicolls (43) and Kepler Lukies (34).
But Matt Ross was able to claim all three at critical times to have the game in the balance at 5/38.
Ross then took the bowling up a gear and with the re-introduction of Whelan and Bartlett, pressure mounted on the Katamatite lineup.
Ross quickly claimed Ben Lukies (0), Brayden Beaton (11) and Ben Beaton (duck), with the Saints in control at 8/147.
Bartlett then removed James Irvine for four, and it was Ross claiming Desmond O'Kane for four for his seventh wicket.
The Saints dismissed Katamatite all out for 151 in the 51st, over with Harry Paterson not out without scoring a run.
Ross finished the innings with the huge figures of 7/50 in his 18th over.
With 35 overs remaining in the day, and a finals position on the line for Katamatite, they were after quick wickets.
Back at the crease, the Saints started poorly with Connor Thornton out on the first ball of the innings, bowled by James Irvine (1/16).
Ben Lukies (2/17) then removed Lochie Conboy (7), and Jacob Bartlett fell for one to Kepler Lukies.
Pressure continued on the Saints, with Luke Melville (11) caught off Archie Daniel (1/11) and Rory Bartlett (0) bowled by Patterson (1/19).
The Saints were in huge trouble at 5/30.
Andrew Parr and Matt Ross steadied the Saints, but they both fell in quick succession - Ross dismissed, caught for 18, and Parr bowled for 19.
The Saints were now 7/69.
With overs to run out, Matt Whelan and Jeremy Packer took to the Katamatite's bowling and enjoyed a 38 run partnership.
Both players finished not out at the end of the innings, Whelan on 15 and Packer on 33 after peppering the boundary, with the Saints finishing at 7/117.
The result meant the Saints won by 18 runs on first innings.
Matt Ross claimed the Berrigan Hay and Schifferle Farming Award, and Jeremy Packer claimed the Albury Sportspower Award.

Lucas Baron (31), Chase Dickins (13) and James White (12) kept the Bloods in the game; however, the run rate continually creeping up on them made the task even more difficult.
