The school held its annual celebration of Prep students completing their first 100 days of school, with its parents, as always, going over and above to get their youngsters into the spirit.
Prep teacher Kaitlin Kaine said students dressed as if they were 100 to mark the occasion, and the school hosted a special assembly with families invited.
“They’ve got grey hair, and wrinkles painted on their faces,” she said.
“We started off today with a presentation, then they did some activities together.
“We had a slideshow with some music in the background, and we finished off with some awards.”
Students then headed back to their classrooms to spend the day doing fun things around the theme of 100.
“They’re going to do numbers to 100,” Ms Kaine said.
“Then their buddies will come in this afternoon and help them make some funky glasses together, and they’re going to colour them and cut them out.”
Ms Kaine said the day wouldn’t be so engaging for students without the help of dedicated parents.
“Our parents are great,” she said.
“They put in so much effort, and they all came along today to celebrate with their kids.
“We have amazing parents here in St Joeys, we’re very lucky.”
