A Watch and Act message is being issued for Wangaratta, Bright and surrounds.
The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce heavy, locally intense rainfall that may lead to dangerous and life-threatening flash flooding, damaging winds and large hailstones in the warning area over the next several hours
This Watch and Act message replaces the Watch and Act issued at 10.13pm.

Prepare to take shelter and be aware of potential hazards caused by the severe weather. Hazards include floodwater, debris, damaged, buildings, trees down and fallen powerlines.
What you should do:
Park your car undercover and away from trees
Stay inside if conditions outside appear dangerous
Contact family members and neighbours to ensure they are aware of the situation, if safe to do so
Large hail is expected. Stay inside and away from windows
Floodwater is dangerous - never drive, walk or ride through floodwater
Be prepared for flash flooding.
If you are driving:
If driving conditions are dangerous, safely pull over away from trees, drains, low lying areas, creeks, canals, culverts and floodwater
Be aware of road hazards such as mud, debris and damaged roads or bridges
