All funds raised in the Deniliquin area will remain in the community to help local services and programs.
Every 17 seconds the Salvos help someone in need.
Achievements like this are “only made possible through generous donations” says Sandra Whyborn, who is the Deniliquin Salvation Army’s community engagement worker.
“Everyday life has turned into a struggle for millions across the nation,” she said.
Australia's cost of living crisis makes this statement more true than ever.
Many people are suffering through hardship, homelessness, domestic violence and more.
The Salvation Army is asking the Deniliquin community to help them bring some light into the lives of those who need it most and make sure no one struggles alone.
“We here at the Salvos are so grateful for the Deni community, who have always rallied together and supported the Red Shield Appeal,” Ms Whyborn said.
Members of the community will be able to find donation points at both Deniliquin supermarkets.
Donations can also be dropped off at the Salvos Family Store in Cressy St, Deniliquin.
