A fired-up Kookaburras outfit scored an upset 3-2 victory over Echidnas in a high-standard affair. Stephen Lane and Coby Linke were in top form to win a singles each before combining brilliantly for an exciting 21-19, 17-21, 21-12 doubles victory to seal the match.
John Bajada was the standout, winning both singles for Echidnas, with John Spencer playing well in support.
Meanwhile, Owls swooped on Wallabies, holding on for a spectacular 3-2 victory in a hard-fought clash.
Adrian Squires was at his best, winning both singles in a fine performance. He then joined forces with talented junior, Sienna Irwin to score an 18-21, 24-22, 21-14 doubles victory to take the points.
Wallabies’ Michelle Feldtmann and Daniel Dokka played extremely well but needed a little luck in the doubles.
Rosellas played with confidence to overcome Plovers for a solid 4-1 victory.
Chris Lee played his best match this season, producing some outstanding rallies to win both singles.

Mozzies had to work hard to upset Numbats, finally holding on for a great 3-2 victory.
Kaleb Lissenden continued his outstanding season, playing brilliantly to win both singles.
He had strong support from Matt Parkinson, who played well to win a singles.
In another close encounter, Wombats just edged out Gliders for a tense 3-2 victory. Jack McNulty starred, claiming both singles in an outstanding performance. He then combined with Meg Saultry, who showed improvement in her game to win the doubles in straight sets.
Frogs recorded their first win of the season, with a convincing 4-1 win over Possums.
Brian Perry was back in form to win both singles, while Jackson Squires snared one. They combined well to win the doubles in straight sets.
C-grade
Falcons impressed, scoring a gallant 4-1 victory over Magpies in a hotly contested match up.
Carol McNulty used her experience to advantage, winning both singles in a fine display.
She had strong support from Ann Degan, who won a singles before teaming with McNulty for a comfortable doubles win.
Doves were too strong for Crickets, with Elliot McCallum and Perrie Lansley winning all their matches for a 5-0 victory.
