The Third Sector Awards are awards recognising excellence within the not-for-profit sector.
Developed and hosted in partnership with the Centre for Social Impact, the Third Sector Awards provide an opportunity for organisations of all sizes to celebrate their much-needed work and contributions to society.
Tomorrow Today’s Executive Officer Jodie Fleming was on hand at the ceremony in Sydney, on September 12, to accept the award.
“Being recognised as a leading national example of community-led, place-based change through strong collaboration is both humbling and an incredible honour,” Ms Fleming said.
“We work hand-in-hand with our local preschools, childcare centres, schools, philanthropic partners, government agencies, service groups, clubs, other not-for-profits, and local businesses.
“They say it takes a village to raise — or educate — a child.
“This is a belief we hold close to our hearts, and we’ve seen first-hand that by working collaboratively within our village, we are making progress.
“Thank you to the organisers of the event and to all those who voted for Tomorrow Today to win this category.
“We would especially like to thank all the organisations and individuals who collaborate with us. This award belongs to them too.
“We are privileged to work with you, and we thank you for your ongoing commitment to the Education Benalla Program.”
The award recognises 14 years of the Education Benalla Program and the more than 120 collaborations and partnerships that have made it so successful.
