Devenish, Tatong, Goorambat and Winton are just a few of the ‘tiny towns’ in Benalla Rural City.
And all are eligible to apply for a grant under the Victorian Government’s Tiny Towns Fund.
The grants, which opened on November 27, encourage community groups in towns with a population of less than 5000 to bring their best project ideas to the table.
Victorian Regional Development Minister Gayle Tierney said grants ranging from $5000 to $50,000 were available.
“Whether it’s renovating a much-loved attraction, creating a new hiking trail or adding a splash park, our investment will support local businesses and jobs and attract more visitors to our tiny towns,” Ms Tierney said.
