Since 2012, Tomorrow Today has held multiple weekly PEEP sessions to support families as their children grow and transition to preschool and school.
The PEEP program was developed in the UK in the late 1990s, and Tomorrow Today was one of the first organisations in Australia to have staff trained to deliver the PEEP model.
PEEP co-ordinator Rachael Heywood said this year was the 30th anniversary of PEEP internationally and Tomorrow Today was expanding its annual PEEP Christmas party to acknowledge this important milestone.
“Every year in early December we invite all our current PEEP families out to Benalla Racecourse to celebrate Christmas,” Ms Heywood said.
“This year we’re extending the invitation to our past PEEP families, volunteers and staff to celebrate — and we’ve got a bit more happening too.”
The event will incorporate a photo booth, jumping castle, pedal cars and giant games, as well as a free barbecue and a visit from Santa.
“We’d love to see our past PEEP participants come along, catch up with each other and enjoy a relaxed pre-Christmas event that also commemorates the important part that PEEP has played in their family’s life,” Ms Heywood said.
The PEEP Christmas Party and 30 Year Celebration will be held on Wednesday, December 3 from 4.30pm to 7pm at Benalla Racecourse.
Attendees should bring a picnic rug, snacks and drinks (no alcohol).
Current and past PEEP participants, volunteers or staff members who would like to attend the event are asked to RSVP by November 26 via surveymonkey.com/r/PEEP_Christmas_Party or by calling Tomorrow Today on 5762 1211.
